The Water's Edge Lodge, Black Hills

The property is beautiful. You are in a house on the owner's land and they live a walking distance away. There is a pond you can walk to and feed the fish, you can see the owner's walking their dogs around the grounds (Boris the Saint Bernard is the best), and they are available by text if needed and respond quickly. The house had plenty of space for all of us to have our own bedrooms and comfy beds. FYI, the shower in the back is very small, good for kids, but too small for my hubs to turn around in without hitting all the walls with elbows. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. They were lots of bugs in the house, but not a big deal and to be expected with location. Not a deal breaker for us, we will be back. And note- the address given does not match the actual house number. The owner saw us looking confused and came and greeted us. Just look at the picture from rental description to know you are at the right place.

Great stay great hosts!!

The property is stunning. Love the wildlife and how clear the pond is. It was very peaceful. Highly recommend.

A peaceful and perfect location for our needs. We viewed deer and a multitude of birds from the porch, patio and deck.

Great place to stay!!!!!
